Hi, Im Helen.

& I am a world-class professional celebrant.
I’ve seen firsthand what happens when families are left guessing about what to do for you when your time comes. You didn’t talk to them about it, you didn’t want to upset them. They didn’t know how to you and likewise, they didn’t want to upset you. It meant, no one had an open and honest conversation about death and dying, and what happens next.

As a professional funeral celebrant with years of experience (trained in 2012) I’ve stood beside grieving families as they scramble to make the “right” decisions – often unsure if they’re truly honouring their loved one’s wishes. The stress, the second-guessing, the sheer overwhelm – it’s something no family should have to go through.

…and then, in 2021, I faced it myself.
…my dad suffered a serious stroke and landed him in intensive care.
None of us knew what would happen next – would he recover? Would he speak again? Would he walk? My mum was left waiting in limbo while my brothers and I were suddenly responsible for closing his business, selling the family home, and relocating my parents—all while navigating the emotional rollercoaster of uncertainty.
I was lucky. My dad made a full recovery.
But what if I hadn’t had that support? What if I had to do it alone? How would I have helped my Mum? How would I have later supported my Dad?

A stroke is sudden, and we had to be utterly ‘re-active’ and not proactive. It taught us a valuable lesson.

Later, another member of the family then got other news. Cancer. This time, we knew we had time, albeit a little, but I knew what to do and how to do it, and I’m helping navigate my family members through it.

Later, another member of the family then got other news. Cancer. This time, we knew we had time, albeit a little, but I knew what to do and how to do it, and I’m helping navigate my family members through it.

That’s why I’m on a mission to help others who, one day, will find themselves in a similar situation…
– whether it’s preparing “just in case” or facing difficult news head-on.

You don’t have to figure this out alone.

And you don’t have to leave your family to struggle with the unknown.

Remember, I understand, and have experienced how horrible dealing with, seeing, and having the feeling that ‘death’ is around the corner. How you approach that is in your hands. I will share with you, both personally and professionally, how to open the conversation.

I know first-hand how overwhelming it can feel to prepare for something we don’t want to even think about.

That’s why I’ve dedicated my work to making this process as simple, supportive, and empowering as possible.

By watching this video, you’re taking a small but powerful step towards securing peace of mind for yourself and your family.

Testimonials

Helen was excellent. I’m so glad we trusted her with my nans funeral. She just got it spot on. With her caring nature and confidence in her job I just knew she was the right celebrant for us and we were in safe hands. Family members have been saying how wonderful she was and how it was nice to have our nans personality come through in the service.
Thank you Helen x

I cannot imagine anyone more perfect or lovelier than Helen to guide us through what could so easily have been a very sad and depressing day, and yet which she helped transform into such a happy day, with her lovely smile, lightness of spirit, humour, grace and warmth. It was quite the most beautiful and personal ceremony I have ever attended, bar none.

I just had to contact you to say that you conducted the most beautiful celebration of life I have ever been to. The tears are misting my eyes as I’m typing this message. The mark of a good vicar/priest/celebrant is whether they make you feel you have known the person for years, and you did that in spades. You captured the very essence of my lovely friend.
